
Rick Shuman, Ph.D., Psychotherapist

Dr. Rick Shuman is a licensed therapist and no stranger to the world of mental health. His knowledge and ease translates to likability and friendliness. When he speaks, it is in simple, clear terms, addressing problems that would otherwise be complex and complicated. Dr. Shuman was a member of the KTLA Morning News for three years, where viewers came to appreciate his weekly contributions to this popular and highly rated news program.
He has completed a television pilot for 20th Television and completed another pilot for Paramount Television. He recently teamed with Marcia Brandwynne to create and complete a radio pilot entitled "The Marcia and Dr. Rick Show". Dr. Shuman is a frequent guest on CNN, CBS, FOX, OPRAH and EXTRA.
Dr. Shuman was the Clinical Director at the Century City Hospital and currently is the Vice Chair of Our House, a grief center for children who have lost a parent and parents coping with the loss of a child.
Dr. Shuman is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and completed his doctoral work at the University of Southern California. Dr. Shuman maintains a private practice in Westwood, California.
