Police Investigating Everett Homicide
May 7, 2008, 11:43 PM PDT

A Snohomish county man is in jail under suspicion of first degree murder, according to Everett police.

Everett police discovered the body of a white male in his early forties late Wednesday afternoon after responding to a domestic violence call at a halfway house in Everett.

According to police the body was found in the room of one of the tenants, who was not found on the scene. Patrol officers picked him up later in the evening and according to Everett P.D Sgt. Robert Goetz, detectives soon soon had enough to issue warrants.

"After several hours of questioning the man, we feel we have enough information to hold him on probable cause. He's in jail tonight on suspicion of first degree murder", said Goetz.

The building owner says police told him the body was in a closet and may have been there for a few days.
