Dan
Devone is sports anchor for Q13 FOX News at Ten Sunday-Thursday nights, Q It
Up Sports on Sunday nights, and Seahawks Gameday.
Dan has been with Q13 FOX News since its launch in 1998. In 2004, he won an
Emmy Award for sports anchoring.
Dan was born in Honolulu and spent his early years in San Francisco. He graduated
from the University of Arizona with a degree in Journalism, then returned to
the Bay Area to intern for a TV station there before landing his first broadcast-journalism
job in Hawaii. He was the play-by-play voice of the University of Hawaii and
Chaminade basketball teams, and worked as a sports reporter for Honolulu's CBS
station. From Hawaii, he ventured back to California to work as sports director
job at the CBS station in Fresno.
Facing a choice there between job offers from CNN and Q13 FOX, Dan chose Seattle,
in what he says has turned out to be one of the most prudent decisions of his
life.
Dan loves to surf and says he could eat sushi seven days a week.
