James Lynch

James LynchComing to Q13 FOX News in October of 2005, James Lynch is a newcomer to the Pacific Northwest.

As a child James use to watch the news with his father and decided early on that he wanted to be a television journalist. His role models were Max Robinson, Ed Bradley and later, Bryant Gumbel. He wanted to be like them and that admiration put him on the track to where he is today.

Being a reporter has given James the opportunity to move around a lot with his job. He started his career at a small station in Monroe, Louisiana. He has also worked at TV Stations in Tyler and Austin, Texas, Memphis, Tennessee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and finally here at Q13 FOX News in Seattle. James received a degree in Mass Communications from Grambling State University in Louisiana.

Some notable stories that James has worked on include: Both elections of President Bush, a F5 Tornado in Texas, Nelson Mandela and the Shuttle Columbia crash to name a few. James has also received several awards over the years for his work before the camera and in the community.

In his spare time he likes to run, weight lift, watch TV and cook. He loves living in Western Washington because of the mountains, the water, the islands and the fact that Canada is so close. It's also great to call Seattle home because his wife of eight years, Martha, grew up on Capitol Hill and she loves being back in her hometown.

For James, the best part of his job is talking to people all over the community so if you see him on the street feel free to talk to him about anything .
