Before joining Q13 FOX News in October of 2004, Mark
Coleman served as a meteorologist for Northwest Cable News/KING 5
television, beginning in August 2001. Prior to that, Mark worked as
a reporter/weathercaster, July 1999 through July 2001, for KREM
Television in Spokane, Washington. While in Spokane, Mark received
awards from the Associated Press for continuing news coverage and
daily news coverage along with awards from the Society of
Professional Journalists.
Mark is heavily involved in our community and
most recently served on the media board for the Salvation Army. He
also volunteers in local public schools on a recurring basis,
lecturing on television, weather and ecology.
Mark is a graduate of the University of
Washington with a degree in Communications. He's also a graduate of
the Mississippi State University Broadcast Meteorology program and
is a member of the AWS and the AMS. He is a native son of the great
Pacific Northwest, having been born in Seattle and raised in the
South Sound.
