The Maximum Living Thanksgiving Holiday Tray
November 15, 2007

This is the perfect time of year to think about giving and one of my favorite ways to express my thankfulness with a gift is with the Maximum Living Giving Bowl. It's a creative and easy way to take an ordinary bowl and make it into a gift of thanksgiving, a gift to be shared with those special loved ones during this special time of year.

Supplies:
Glue Gun
Glass bowl with a neck and base
Dried colored fall leaves
Dried berries and branches
Silk flowers
Optional Filler (sand/colonnade candle; potpourri; raffia and a Pumpkin; Fresh fruit, wrapped candies and nuts)

Directions: Take your glue gun and glue colored fall leaves to the outside of the glass bowl, making sure to cover the glass completely. Be creative by layering the leaves to give texture and dimension. Next take dried berries and silk flowers and glue to the rim of the bowl and also around the neck of the base. When gluing the berries it's ok to let them hang down around the face of the bowl.

Now fill the bowl with whatever you have decided on as your optional filler.

It can make a great candle holder display, or a posh potpourri dish filled with your favorite smelling potpourri, a fall centerpiece just by adding raffia and placing a pumpkin inside or a beautiful vertical cornucopia giving bowl for your holiday table centerpiece.

Since so many of my holiday guests like to learn how to make this, I decided at the end of my holiday meal I would draw a name from a jar and whose ever name was picked was given the centerpiece as my Thanksgiving gift.

Happy fall decorating and remember…YOU CAN DO IT!

Randy
